On Sunday, October 10, 1971 a group of people in Jefferson County, KS met together in the Rock Creek Community Church Building for a memorial service of a community resident. From that meeting, interest was generated to begin regular weekly services with a full range of Sunday School Classes. Reverend Charles Scott was the first pastor with pastor Robert Zieg coming as full-time minister in 1976.
